Five Conservative Principles
Offered by David Apollo

Bill Whittle offers up a great 11 minute summary of what he calls his "Top Five Conservative Principles" that go well with ConserveLiberty's Central Theme.

Bill's five principles can be summed up as follows:
  1. Individuality - the love of and respect for the individual person (each uniquely different).

  2. Gun Ownership - a reflection of the value we place on individuals, and that our ability to defend ourselves is the greatest right of all.

  3. Equality of Opportunity - because people are born different. No one gets a head start, no one is held back to ensure Equality of Result. Everyone "runs the race" under the same rules, and with our own different personal assets. Naturally, everyone finishes differently.

  4. Wealth Creation - We believe that wealth is created by the innovation and hard work of people. It is thus not finite and does not need to be forcefully redistributed. Examining the course of a city from its start shows that wealth is created by the energy of people endeavoring to offer value for other people through effort and trade.

  5. Freedom / Responsibility - Two different sides of the same coin, one does not exist without the other. We believe that individuals have the right to pursue their own personal happiness right up to the point that their pursuit infringes on another's pursuit. With Freedom comes Responsibility for the outcome of your own actions.

Consider thoughtfully

While it is understood that use of the terms "liberty" and "freedom" may suggest a political orientation to some, and the use of a video by Bill Whittle may reinforce that perception, such a conclusion would not be accurate. However, a bias towards freedom and liberty IS accurate. It is most certain that ConserveLiberty has zero partisan alignment.
