Selective Defense
Offered by David Apollo

If a man really wants to protect what's his, he has to do it for himself. And keep it up!
ConserveLiberty articulates often about the harmony that exists within All That Is as all unfolds and "does what it was built to do."

It advocates no position, philosophy, or action other than to Conserve the Liberty for all to be as it was built to be.

And yet, ConserveLiberty does not advocate chaos, in the sense that chaos is a disordered execution of whatever anyone or anything "does" so long as it does what it was built to do.

Chaos is only embraced in the sense that "randomness" is "generated" within All That Is as a mechanism for generating variation. Variation is a Fundamental Prerequisite.

Out of the Fundamental Prerequisites of Change (variation) and Persistence falls Evolution. Something Does Follow Next. What does not follow is what does not follow next. In other words, Evolution is Selective.

We all have our own interests as we go about our lives. Once we evolved social structures allowing us to divide responsibility for taking care of the needs all of have among others, our lives became even more interesting. In large societies, some grow our food, others build our homes, others protect us, and we do something important for ourselves and others as well. Before these cooperative relationships, we provided our own food, shelter, etc., and did not have time for all the things that as vibrant societies we do now.

Yet, Selective Evolution is still at play. We'd like to ignore it (i.e., let others take responsibility for it), but there are still folks who instinctually are more interested in breaking things and stealing things and hurting us and killing us. We understand that they are with us and among us every day. Somewhere. When they are crafty, we may not be aware that they are very close by.

What happens when those who we rely upon to protect us for some reason don't? What happens when their protection becomes so diminished that we find we can no longer credibly rely upon them to do so? That either we or those important to us are being injured by those who want to injure us? Results matter. Results are the only facts that are truly relevant.

What do we do?

For those who are going to survive, there is only one answer to that question. Survival has always been a matter of selective evolution. Survival has been an instinctive behavior for the last 3.5 billion years on Earth. Those without an adequate survival drive have gone extinct.

Will you?

Conserve Liberty. Elect Survival.
