Thanksgiving for Nearly Everything
Offered by David Apollo

It turns out that this one is a natural one to write for ConserveLiberty.

And it hits on so many different themes that are touched on throughout this resource as ConserveLiberty simply reminds us to Embrace Truth.

Thanksgiving
  • For that which has enabled us to Be What We Are.
(ultimately, the Fundamental Resonance of the Fundamental Prerequisite)
  • For what one was Built to Be.
    (ultimately, what we Are)
  • For what All Else within All That Is was Built to Be.
(others, the living, the Real, the Initial)
  • For Gratitude itself, and our participation and manifestation within and among it.
(ultimately, an intrinsic dimension of Harmony, and our embrace of The Truth that we can)
  • And thus, our Freedom and Liberty to Think!!
(no explanation fully representative of the awesomeness of that!!!)
So let's just pick two concepts of relevance to this topic that may (or may not) be a little different than what one may be "commonly" used to considering. Are others more "resonant" with you that are not mentioned here? Write them down if you wish. Let others know you are grateful for those and them. Today!

Topic #1:
Our Origins, Genetically
A very significant reason that we are who we are is the result of those who joined with each other to produce us. While the process is called "reproduction", the reality is that the result is NOT an identical copy of either of the two that, together, produced us. Not even close. And yet, all that we (i.e. You or I) are genetically is derived from The Two who got together to produce us.

Since we are grateful for what we are (because if we were not what we are, then we (i.e. that which is You or I) wouldn't Be at all) ... then it follows that we are also grateful for those who produced us, and as a corrolary, grateful for What They Are.

Grateful for Family. Because it is our Family (parents, grandparents, etc.,) that resulted in what we are. Or they (siblings, cousins, parents, etc.) can help us to understand what we (i.e. You or I) are by observing Who They Are.

Which makes for some interesting comparisons and understandings.

When we find something we "approve of" or "disapprove of" in a parent, to what degree can we see those traits manifested in us? And, vice versa!

Ah what a celebration of gratitude and thanksgiving a family gathering actually is!

Topic #2:
Those among us and with us, either now or in the past
.
All that has happened has happened in part BECAUSE of those that have come before us.

That is not to say that those whose impact has been positive in our lives were without their own faults. Or that their outlooks, intentions, and embraced worldviews were universally noble as we would judge them today. Or ever. In fact, all of us have our own faults. Many times we find (if we do find) that we are corrupted either self-intentionally or due to various indoctrinations and miunderstandings. Actually, most are! And yet it is also true that we are positively impacted by people who are not perfectly ideal ... because most are not perfectly ideal.

Because of the wonderful unfolding of good fortune in the midst of environments that do not lead (ever) to "perfect good fortune unsullied by bad fortune", many of us find ourselves grateful for the good fortune we do experience anyway.

Those who are instinctively grateful (note - some are not) want to celebrate the sources, the enablers of our good fortune, even though we may also prefer that better judgement had avoided other of the mistakes made by the same people, often at the same time.

And so we celebrate "family". And we celebrate "community". And we celebrate "national unity".

For additional perspective regarding gratitude while recognizing that that which we are thankful for also exists mixed with issues that we are not thankful for (which is the universal reality of all that is Real) check out the essays below:

With regard to Thanksgiving, what might ConserveLiberty advocate? Consistent with the only thing we ever advocate - improvement from whatever our status is today to conserve and increase our abilities to Be What We Are Built to Be.

Of course.

Conserve Liberty. Move Forward. As You. With Others as They Are. Gratefully.
