Introduction Part II
How does the Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble impact our reception and perception of the truly Real? Does this filter, and the understanding that our actions may influence "the unfolding" around us, impact our responses to that which interacts with us?

Does this filter give us insight into the possible impacts our actions (or lack of actions) may have?

welcome to Reality picture
Interestingly, an accurate perception of The Real, and an ability to distinguish between The Real and The Unreal may not be required for survival from an evolutionary selection perspective. It is true that selection for survival requires the ability to identify and consume nutrients in order to sustain living and reproductive processes. And, the ability to identify and either avoid or kill that which will often kill you is also an advantageous trait required for survival. However, it may not be required to perceive the environment, its nutrients, and lethal threats realistically in order to exploit or eliminate them. For example, if one perceived something important for one's survival in a non-realistic fashion, but developed habits or instincts that addressed it correctly even though it was perceived incorrectly, survival in those circumstances would be selected for.

For example, if one required a minimum amount of warmth to survive and did not have the ability to feel warmth, but found warm areas attractive visually, for example, or that a type of food you have developed cravings for tends to live in that area, then you may wind up in areas warm enough for you to survive in even though you did not select the area for the warmth that you will perish without. Remember, you are not even able to feel the warmth you need to survive in this example. Since you are unaware of it, securing it is not a part of your rational or instinctual desires or behaviors. And, were the food that you crave not be there, you may not have been drawn to it. However, in this example, that you developed an instinctive craving for it winds up conferring a selective advantage for you over those among you who did not, and thus weren't drawn to where you were drawn.

On the other hand, while an accurate perception of The Real and the ability to distinguish it from the real may not be necessary in some circumstances, it is also true that the development of a Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble can also have advantages, and those can have selective advantages in some circumstances as well. While there may be thousands or millions of species without an accurate way to perceive The Real that survive and thrive nonetheless, it is also true that a few (perhaps thousands or millions also) can perceive and distinguish the real from the unreal, and thrive as a result of that ability as well.

How can a truthful insight as a result of the Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble be distinguished from an insight arising from an imaginary thought, hope, or narrative? After all, All That Is is only and always Real.".

Is a strong Reality Perception Ensemble required to enable a more successful embrace of The Truth, and thus fuller experience of Harmony between our lives and the environment around us?

The Big Picture
How is it that one can portray credibly to another how the Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble works factually?

Well we can't. Yet.

But in order to be able to, we need to be able to understand the parts that make up the ensemble. Using our car as an example, in order to understand how the car works, how it actually works, we need to be able to understand its individual components. Those would be the screws, glass, clamps, tires, etc. that make up (together in ensemble) its filters. Those filters (the engine, transmission, steering mechanism, radio, etc.) come together, in ensemble form, to make the car's traits. Those ensembled traits (ability to accelerate, stop, protect one in an accident, hold the road while turning, etc.) come together, again in ensembled form, to make the car.

A number of individual biological components are being uncovered that appear to be relevant somehow to the mechanism we use cognitively and physiologically to distinguish between the Real and the Unreal. We infer this because we find evidence that in cases of schizophrenia (which negatively impact the ability to discern between the Real and the Unreal) we can find differences in these parts between people with and without schizophrenia. It is likely that not all of these differences are actually relevant to schizophrenia, or more accurately, the generation and mechanism underlying the Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble. However, some, if not many of them may be. How will we eventually be able to determine which are relevant and which are not?

While the Reality Perception Ensemble cannot be described accurately for each of us, those with stronger Reality Perception Ensemble can get closer to recognizing and participating in a productive relationship with All That Is, including others, as it unfolds than those with weaker Reality Perception Personality Spectrum Ensemble filters.

What insights can be communicated regarding the truthful recognition of and integrated relationship with All That Is?
