The video below is titled: How Racist Are You? - Jane Elliot's Blue Eyes / Brown Eyes

The point of ConserveLiberty offering this video for your review is not for you to decide whether or not you agree or disagree with what you will be told you are being shown.

ConserveLiberty does not advocate for particular positions. Your position on what you will be shown is up to you to decide.

Rather, this video shows the power of narrative messaging (e.g. Jane Elliot's narrative messaging), consistently repeated over time, positioned as factual, declared confidently and without compromise. Elliot's messaging was positioned to guide the group on how each must see themselves, those surrounding themselves, those "like" themselves, and those "not like themselves." Each consistently differently depending on the attributes they do or do not share.

Watch. These 30 people have never met. For one long day they'll be at the mercy of The Bitch, Jane Elliot.

For 40 years Jane Elliott has been running an exercise that has ignited controversy around the world. She says it lays bare the hidden truth about racism in white societies. Many disagree, some vehemently.

In this 47 minute video, she brings her exercise to modern Britain. She's about to divide this group. Her aim: Simulate a discriminatory style regime, and have those in this group embrace roles they did not choose, and do not want to choose to embrace.

Do we have an instinctive tendency to embrace what we are indoctrinated with (e.g. racism, etc.) more than we'd like to admit?

ConserveLiberty believes that the challenge in this exercise relative to the ones she taught years earlier is that in her earlier courses she was indoctrinating children. (Children are more easily indoctrinated.) In this example, she had just 10 hours to run the exercise with adults. (Adults are a bit less indoctrinatable than children.) And, these adults had already been indoctrinated with perspectives on discrinmination based on external appearances. Still, what did you see? Are you aware of such indoctrinating narratives being deployed today that would divide us on issues other than physical attributes?
